On nights like these where I’m kept awake by my unnecessarily high body temp, I think to myself: “Damn. I will never be able to cuddle with anyone all through the night unless that person is always really cold.”
Proof! I couldn’t sleep for extended periods of time when I cuddled with my ex. DID. NOT. WORK.
What’s really bad/ sad, though, is that I FUCKING LOVE CUDDLING. AND UNFORTUNATELY, MY SLEEPING SELF LOVES IT TOO. SO I WILL INVOLUNTARILY/ UNCONSCIOUSLY GRAVITATE TO WHOEVER IS SLEEPING NEXT TO ME. IT JUST FUCKING HAPPENS WHILE I’M ASLEEP. and then I’ll wake up BURNING and be like, “Whaaaat the fuck?! When did I get over to this side?! Ah! sorry! Didn’t mean to wrap my leg around you! Oh god. I am burning up. Fuck. Where is the window/ AC?! SON OF A BITCH. WHY DOESN’T HAVE MY PILLOW HAVE MORE SIDES. I NEED COLDNESS. IF I AM NOT ALREADY ON FIRE, I AM DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO BURSTING INTO FLAMES.
then I’ll reset in the middle of the night, go back to my side, and fall asleep again only to wake up a little later in the saaaaaame damn situation of OVERHEATING.
